Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Vexlore Campus ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are accessing the Service on behalf of a college or university ("Institution"), you represent that you have authority to bind the Institution to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and Account Access

The Service is licensed to colleges and universities for use by their enrolled students, faculty, and authorized staff. Access requires a valid college-issued Google or Microsoft account, or a supported LTI 1.3 launch from your institution's LMS. Individuals may not self-register with an unaffiliated email address.

3. Permitted Use

Users may access Vexlore Campus solely for lawful academic and advising purposes. Prohibited uses include: (a) submitting work generated by the Service as entirely your own without proper disclosure where required by your institution's academic integrity policy; (b) attempting to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or abuse the AI tools; (c) uploading unlawful, harmful, or personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary for academic use; (d) sharing account credentials with unauthorized individuals.

4. Institutional License

Vexlore Campus is licensed to colleges and universities on a per-institution basis under a separate written agreement, or connected directly through your institution's LMS via LTI. The Service may not be sublicensed, resold, or transferred. Access is limited to the institution's own students and staff during the term of the agreement.

5. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to generate academic assistance. AI-generated content is provided as a study and advising tool and may contain errors. Users are responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI responses. Vexlore makes no guarantee that AI outputs are factually correct, complete, or suitable for submission as academic work.

6. Student Data and FERPA

Vexlore operates as a "school official" under FERPA on behalf of the contracting institution. Student data is used solely to provide the academic services described herein. We do not sell, share, or use student data for advertising. Students may exercise FERPA rights through their institution. See our Privacy Notice for full details.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its code, design, and branding, is the property of Vexlore and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Users retain ownership of content they create using the Service. By using the Service, users grant Vexlore a limited license to process submitted content solely to provide the requested AI assistance.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. VEXLORE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VEXLORE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOUR INSTITUTION FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or as required by law. Institutions may terminate their agreement per the terms of their written contract. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state specified in the applicable institutional licensing agreement between Vexlore and the contracting institution, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts specified in that agreement, or, absent such specification, in the state of the contracting institution's principal place of business.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify contracting institutions of material changes.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms should be directed to your college or university administrator, or sent to Vexlore via our Contact page.
